Teacher leads a brief safety briefing, sings a going-outside transition cue, then poses a wonder question about the topic (e.g., "How many different leaves can we find?"). Children explore the outdoor space (woodland, park, school-yard, quintal, or patio) for 15-20 minutes, collecting observations and small found objects in a tray.
