This course focuses on empowering students to take responsibility for their own health and physical activity levels. Students explore advanced movement sequences, leadership in sports, and the complex relationship between mental health, nutrition, and lifelong fitness.

Personal Fitness and Goal Setting
Students design and implement personalized fitness plans based on self-assessment and specific health goals.
Students use various protocols to measure cardiovascular endurance, strength, and flexibility to establish a starting point.
An exploration of the FITT principle and how to apply overload, progression, and specificity to training.

Movement Competence and Strategy
Focusing on the refinement of complex motor skills and the application of tactical solutions in diverse physical activities.
Students analyze offensive and defensive patterns to improve team performance in games.
Students take on roles as coaches and officials to understand the game from different perspectives.
Breaking down movement patterns to improve efficiency and reduce the risk of injury.

Nutrition and Performance
Examining the role of nutrients in fueling the body for physical activity and daily life.
