1st Class Gaeilge Bheo: Living the Language
This course focuses on developing oral proficiency and a love for the Irish language through immersive, play-based activities. Students build confidence in using Gaeilge for daily communication, storytelling, and cultural expression in a supportive 1st Class environment.

Myself and My World
Students learn to introduce themselves, express feelings, and describe their physical appearance and immediate family members.
Mastering basic social formulas for meeting new people and identifying oneself.
Identifying family members and describing the people who live in our houses.
Expressing internal states and reacting to the feelings of others in the classroom.

School Life and Play
Exploring the classroom environment, school subjects, and the games played during break time.
Naming common objects in the classroom and following teacher instructions.
Discussing favorite activities and learning the rules of traditional Irish playground games.
Expressing preferences for different areas of learning and the school timetable.

Food and Feasts
Focusing on healthy eating, mealtimes, and the vocabulary associated with shopping and cooking.
Identifying fruits, vegetables, and balanced meals while expressing likes and dislikes.
Practicing ordering food and drinks in a simulated social setting.
Vocabulary for birthdays, parties, and traditional Irish celebrations.

Nature and Animals
Learning about pets, farm animals, and the changing seasons in the Irish landscape.
Describing pets at home and how to care for different animals.
Exploring the names of farm animals and the work done by farmers.
Identifying weather patterns and the natural changes associated with each season.

Stories and Pastimes
Engaging with Irish folklore, modern stories, and describing weekend activities.
Using the past tense to describe activities and trips taken outside of school.
Describing what we are wearing and choosing outfits for different weather.
