Primary (JI-6th Class)

1st Class
This course focuses on developing oral proficiency and a love for the Irish language through immersive, play-based activities. Students build confidence in using Gaeilge for daily communication, storytelling, and cultural expression in a supportive 1st Class environment.

2nd Class
This course focuses on developing oral proficiency and early literacy through immersive thematic units. Students engage in active language use to describe their daily lives, express feelings, and participate in cultural traditions.

3rd Class
This course transitions students from early language acquisition to more independent communicative proficiency. It focuses on building confidence through oral interaction, reading for pleasure, and creative writing within familiar thematic contexts.

4th Class
This course focuses on developing conversational fluency and literacy through the ten themes of the Primary Language Curriculum. Students engage in authentic tasks to build confidence in using Irish as a living language in their daily lives.

5th Class
A comprehensive language program focused on developing communicative proficiency through the four key skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students engage with authentic Irish culture and modern vocabulary to build confidence in real world social interactions.

6th Class
This course focuses on developing fluency and confidence in Gaeilge through immersive communicative activities. Students engage with authentic texts and real world scenarios to master complex sentence structures and expressive vocabulary before transitioning to post primary education.
Junior Cycle (1st-3rd Year)

1st Year
An introductory course focused on developing foundational oral and written proficiency in the Irish language. Students engage with the language through immersive communicative tasks that emphasize personal identity, daily routines, and cultural appreciation.

2nd Year
This course focuses on developing communicative proficiency in Irish for second year students. It emphasizes real world usage through listening, speaking, reading, and writing while exploring Irish culture and identity.

3rd Year
A comprehensive Junior Cycle Year 3 course focused on achieving communicative proficiency and cultural awareness. Students engage with authentic texts and real world scenarios to prepare for the Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement and lifelong language use.
Senior Cycle (4th-6th Year)

4th Year (TY)
A comprehensive language program focused on developing functional fluency and cultural appreciation in Fourth Class students. This course emphasizes the three strands of communicative language teaching: oral language, reading, and writing, within the context of the Primary Language Curriculum.

5th Year
This course focuses on developing fluency and confidence through immersive communicative tasks. Students engage with the Irish language as a living tool for expression, exploring personal identity, community life, and cultural heritage through active listening and speaking.

6th Year
This course focuses on developing high level fluency and confidence in Irish through immersive communicative tasks. Students engage with complex sentence structures and authentic cultural texts to prepare for the transition to post primary education.
