This course develops students as confident communicators through the exploration of diverse text types and creative expression. Students engage in deep reading comprehension, structured writing processes, and collaborative oral language activities to build a robust linguistic foundation.

Geography
A comprehensive exploration of the physical and human landscapes that shape our lives. Students develop spatial awareness through mapping while investigating the relationship between people and their environments both locally and globally.

History
This course introduces students to the work of the historian through the lens of personal, local, and global history. Students develop chronological awareness and empathy by investigating how people lived in different eras and how we use evidence to reconstruct the past.

Mathematics
A comprehensive third class curriculum focusing on the transition from concrete to abstract mathematical thinking. Students develop fluency in multiplication, explore the properties of 2D and 3D shapes, and apply data handling skills to real world scenarios.

Science
A hands-on science curriculum for 3rd Class students that emphasizes the skills of working scientifically. Students engage in inquiry-based learning across biology, physics, and chemistry to understand the natural and man-made world.

Social, Personal and Health Education (SPHE)
Social, Personal and Health Education (SPHE) provides particular opportunities to foster the personal development, health, and well-being of the individual child. In Third Class, children explore their own identity, develop healthy relationships, and learn to make responsible decisions as active citizens in their local community.

Visual Arts
This course guides 3rd Class students through the fundamental strands of the Irish Visual Arts curriculum, emphasizing personal expression and technical skill. Students engage in making and responding to art while exploring diverse media from drawing and paint to construction and clay.
