Watch Out for These Misconceptions

  • Innovation is only for 'tech' companies.

Innovation can be a new process, a new way of delivering service, or a new organizational structure. Case studies of 'low-tech' innovation (like a new recycling process) help students see that innovation is a mindset, not just a gadget.

  • AI will replace all managers.

AI replaces routine tasks, but increases the need for 'human' leadership skills like empathy, ethics, and complex strategy. Class discussions on 'What AI can't do' help students identify their own future value as leaders.
