Year 3 Languages (LOTE)
This course introduces Year 3 students to the foundations of communicating in a target language through interactive and social contexts. Students develop basic proficiency in listening and speaking while exploring how culture shapes daily life and social interactions.

Connections and Greetings
Students learn the essential rituals of meeting others and establish their identity within the new language environment.
Learning formal and informal greetings and how to introduce oneself to peers and adults.
Exploring the significance of names and basic personal details such as age and origin.
Expressing basic emotions and responding to the question: How are you?

My Inner Circle
Students describe their immediate world, focusing on family structures and the people who support them.
Identifying family members and describing relationships using possessive terms.
Naming common animals and discussing the roles pets play in different households.

The Rhythm of School
Focusing on the classroom environment, school subjects, and the daily schedule of a student.
Identifying tools for learning and following classroom instructions in the target language.
Expressing likes and dislikes regarding school subjects and activities.
