Elementary (Grades 1-6)

Grade 4
This course introduces Grade 4 students to the French language through immersive, communicative activities. Students develop basic proficiency in listening and speaking while exploring the diverse cultural landscapes of the French-speaking world.

Grade 5
This course introduces students to the French language through communicative tasks and cultural exploration. Students develop basic proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing while discovering the diversity of the French speaking world.

Grade 6
An introductory immersion into the French language focusing on high frequency vocabulary and essential communicative structures. Students develop basic proficiency through authentic cultural contexts and interactive social exchanges.
Intermediate (Grades 7-8)

Grade 7
This course develops beginner to intermediate communicative proficiency through the exploration of Francophone cultures and identity. Students engage in authentic tasks to build skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing using high frequency vocabulary and structures.

Grade 8
This course develops intermediate-beginner proficiency through authentic communicative tasks and cultural exploration. Students build confidence in spontaneous speech and interpretive reading while exploring the diversity of the Francophone world.
Secondary (Grades 9-12)

Grade 9
This course focuses on developing novice-mid proficiency through the exploration of Francophone identities and daily life. Students engage in authentic tasks to build communicative competence in interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational modes.

Grade 10
This course develops intermediate communicative proficiency through the exploration of Francophone cultures and contemporary global issues. Students engage in spontaneous interactions and analyze authentic texts to deepen their linguistic precision and cultural empathy.

Grade 11
This course focuses on developing spontaneous oral interaction and complex written expression through the study of global Francophone cultures. Students analyze diverse media and literature to refine their linguistic precision while exploring contemporary social issues and personal identity.

Grade 12
This course refines communicative proficiency through the exploration of complex social issues and cultural identities across the Francophone world. Students engage in high level analysis of literature, media, and contemporary discourse to prepare for post secondary language use.
