Year 7 Languages (LOTE)
This course introduces students to the target language through communicative practice and cultural exploration. Students develop foundation skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing while investigating how language shapes identity and community.

Connections and Greetings
Students learn the essentials of first encounters and how to establish rapport in the target language. This unit focuses on social conventions and the importance of appropriate register.
Understanding how to introduce oneself and others using culturally appropriate gestures and phrases.
Exchanging basic personal information such as name, age, and nationality to build initial connections.

My World and My People
Students describe their immediate social circles and family structures. They compare family life and domestic routines across cultures.
